Designing a CEO's compensation package

hkp/// group consults in a broad range of HR related topics. For this workshop we will focus on the area of our Executive Compensation practice.  The compensation packages of CEOs are under increasing public scrutiny and are heavily debated in the media and the public at large. In the past couple of years, due to the lack of transparency in compensation matters and the ever rising compensation levels of Switzerland’s top CEOs, public and politic pressure has led to legislative changes such as the implementation of the Swiss ordinance against excessive compensation. Not only has the regulatory landscape changed in Switzerland – changes have occurred throughout the entire European Union and overseas. In this workshop you will learn about what it is that we at hkp/// group do, by giving you the chance to design and present a CEO’s compensation package. The workshop will be divided into two parts.  In the first part, you will be introduced to hkp/// group, the consulting services we provide, our company’s culture and values, as well as what it means for analysts, consultants and managers to work at hkp/// group.  In the second part, you will learn about the various elements of a compensation package and will be given the chance to apply your newly gained knowledge by designing a CEO’s compensation package in a small team. Your ideas will then be presented and discussed. You will be surprised as to how complex compensation matters are and the diverse proposals the teams will design during this workshop. You will discover the various aspects that influence the structure of compensation packages and the key drivers of the compensation elements.
